PHOTOS: Balaton Wines Visitor Center inaugurated

The Balaton Wines Visitor Center was inaugurated in Balatonszolos, close to the shore of Lake Balaton, on Thursday.

The centre, open year-round, will offer visitors a showcase of the wine-growing region as well as programmes in a number of languages. To fill a gap, the centre will also hold sommelier courses, workshops and wine sales with the cooperation of local vintners and catering establishments.

National Economy Minister Márton Nagy said more than 70 cellars were involved with the new centre. He added that the Lake Balaton region had attracted 3.2 million visitors in 2024.
